The communication gap

Clients should not have to chase the workshop for progress

“What has changed since the last update — and which choices do you need from me?”

A bespoke conversion brings layout, cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, heating, upholstery, and vehicle systems into one compact build. When decisions and evidence are scattered across inboxes and chat threads, excellent work can still feel uncertain.

Repeated “any update?” calls interrupt project leads and pull skilled builders away from the vehicle.

Scattered photos lose their context as design, fabrication, services, and finishing phases overlap.

Late decisions create expensive rework when space, weight, utilities, and material choices depend on one another.

For conversion specialists

Professional communication without the constant back-and-forth

Keep clients informed while your team stays focused on the design, fabrication, and systems work that make the build exceptional.

Reduce “any update?” calls

Clients can check the latest verified progress before contacting the project lead.

Make hidden craftsmanship visible

Document insulation, reinforcement, wiring, plumbing, and sealing before linings and cabinetry conceal them.

Keep decisions in context

Connect layout changes, material options, approvals, and trade-offs to the phase where they matter.

Create a handover-quality record

Leave the client with an ordered visual history of the work, testing, and final commissioning.

Simple by design

From base vehicle to first trip

CustomWorks fits alongside your estimating, procurement, scheduling, and workshop systems. It is the client communication layer, not another conversion shop management platform to maintain.

Create the conversion project

Add the base vehicle, scope summary, client contact, and the team members who will publish updates.

Send private client access

Share a secure project link and PIN. The client opens it in any browser — no app download required.

Publish progress from the workshop

Add concise updates with photos, videos, phases, discoveries, selections, and decisions as the build moves forward.

Preserve the story at handover

The full client-facing timeline remains available as a professional record of the conversion and commissioning journey.

Private by default

Project visibility without exposing internal operations

A bespoke RV build can include personal travel plans, vehicle details, addresses, budgets, and technical specifications. CustomWorks lets your team control the client-facing layer separately from internal workflows.

Private link + PIN

Each project has controlled client access. PINs are kept separate from URLs.

Choose what clients see

Internal posts can remain internal; only approved updates appear in the client feed.

Protected media delivery

Workshop photos and videos are served through controlled application routes rather than public storage paths.

Questions

RV conversion client portal FAQ

Is CustomWorks a full RV conversion shop management system?

No. CustomWorks is the client update layer. Your company can keep using its existing estimating, procurement, scheduling, invoicing, and workshop systems while publishing selected progress updates in a simple client-facing feed.

Does the client need to install an app?

No. Clients open their private project feed in a standard web browser using a link and PIN. The experience works on phones, tablets, and desktop computers.

Can we keep some project posts internal?

Yes. Each post can be excluded from the client feed, so the company team can retain internal updates without exposing them to the client.

What types of updates can we share?

You can share short notes, photos, videos, audio, layout and material choices, newly discovered work, concealed-service inspections, approvals, installation moments, testing, and milestones in one chronological feed.

Can the client receive email updates?

Yes. Once the client email is confirmed, new client-facing posts can trigger email notifications that bring the client back to the project feed.

Can we try it on one live conversion?

Yes. The free plan is designed for one project and one client feed, so you can test the workflow on a real camper or RV build before expanding it across your workshop.
