The communication gap

Owners should not have to chase the yard for visibility

“What has changed since my last visit — and are we still on track?”

A refit can span months, dozens of contractors, and hundreds of decisions. When progress lives across inboxes and chat threads, even excellent work can feel invisible.

Repeated status requests interrupt project managers and pull them away from delivery.

Fragmented updates make it difficult to reconstruct what happened and when.

Low visibility creates uncertainty even when the project itself is moving well.

A calmer owner experience

One private feed for the entire refit story

Your team publishes concise field updates. The owner sees real progress without entering your internal project management system.

Purpose-built for updates, not more admin

Post from the yard in minutes. Keep the client-facing record focused, visual, and easy to follow on any device.

Share only the updates clients should see Add photos, videos, notes, and decisions Preserve a chronological handover record

For refit teams

Professional communication without the constant back-and-forth

Keep every stakeholder informed while your project team stays focused on delivery.

Reduce “any update?” messages

Clients can check the latest verified progress before contacting the project manager.

Make invisible work visible

Document access panels, systems, joinery, paint stages, and installations before they are concealed.

Keep decisions in context

Connect key changes and approvals to the visual stage of the refit where they occurred.

Build a clean handover record

Leave the client with an ordered visual history of the work completed throughout the project.

Simple by design

From project setup to sea trial

CustomWorks fits alongside your existing yard systems. It is the client communication layer, not another operational platform to maintain.

Create the refit project

Add the vessel, scope summary, client contact, and the team members who will publish updates.

Send private client access

Share a secure project link and PIN. The owner or representative opens it in any browser — no app download required.

Publish progress from the yard

Add concise updates with photos, videos, stages, and important project moments as work moves forward.

Complete the story at handover

The full client-facing timeline remains available as a professional record of the refit journey.

Discreet by default

Project visibility without exposing yard operations

A yacht refit often involves sensitive vessel, owner, and technical information. CustomWorks lets your team control the client-facing layer separately from internal workflows.

Private link + PIN

Each project has controlled client access. PINs are kept separate from URLs.

Choose what clients see

Internal posts can remain internal; only approved updates appear in the client feed.

Protected media delivery

Project media is served through controlled application routes rather than public storage paths.

Questions

Yacht refit client portal FAQ

Is CustomWorks a full yacht refit management system?

No. CustomWorks is the client update layer. Your yard can keep using its existing planning, procurement, technical, and financial systems while publishing selected progress updates in a simple client-facing feed.

Does the owner need to install an app?

No. Clients open their private project feed in a standard web browser using a link and PIN. The experience works on phones, tablets, and desktop computers.

Can we keep some project posts internal?

Yes. Each post can be excluded from the client feed, so the company team can retain internal updates without exposing them to the client.

What types of updates can we share?

You can share short notes, photos, videos, audio, stage updates, installation moments, and important decisions in one chronological project feed.

Can the client receive email updates?

Yes. Once the client email is confirmed, new client-facing posts can trigger email notifications that bring the client back to the project feed.

Can we try it on one live refit?

Yes. The free plan is designed for one project and one client feed, so you can test the workflow on a real refit before expanding it across the yard.
